A CURSE, BUT IN A GOOD WAY. SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS IN THE PRODUCTIVE PROCESS. THE LINK BETWEEN COTTON PRODUCERS AND HARVESTERS IN PROVINCIA DEL CHACO, ARGENTINA
Abstrac
Although cotton, as a traditional crop in Provincia del Chaco, is and has been an object of studies that have produced vast literature about the crop, small cotton producers– as rural subjects –have not been the object of deep analysis on the matter of their identity characteristics. In this study, some economic dimensions of the social relationships present in small cotton producers’ discourse are analyzed, through precise discourse marks that bring us closer to those categories with which small producers identify themselves. Emphasis is made on the relationships of cotton producers and harvesters, because it is a link that has been historically paradigmatic, and because through its analysis the differences that allow identifying one or the other actor are highlighted.
